Seo Ye Ji is ending her contract with Gold Medalist.
On the 30th, the agency confirmed, “Our exclusive contract with Seo Ye Ji, who has been with us for the past four years, has come to an end today.” They added, “While Gold Medalist and Seo Ye Ji’s journey together has concluded, we will cherish our precious memories.”
The statement continued, “We are thankful to the beautiful actress Seo Ye Ji, who put her trust in us and started this journey in 2019.” Concluding, they expressed heartfelt support for her new beginnings, writing, “We sincerely support her new start and ask for continued support for actress Seo Ye Ji. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Seo Ye Ji has faced various controversies, including a gaslighting scandal involving her ex-boyfriend in 2021. Additionally, she was also swept up in other allegations, such as school violence and academic forgery.
In the following year, the actress acknowledged her actions, stating, “All these incidents stemmed from my immaturity,” and sincerely apologized, “I bow my head once again in apology for causing much disappointment.”
