Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been are reportedly joining forces in the upcoming film The Black Nuns (literal title).

Song Hye Kyo’s agency UAA and Jeon Yeo Been’s agency Management mmm confirmed on the 13th to SPOTVNEWS, “They are positively considering their roles in the movie The Black Nuns.”

The Black Nuns is a spin-off of the 2015 film The Priests, starring Kim Yoon Seok and Kang Dong Won. The film will reportedly explore the story of exorcizing nuns, reviving the boom in occult-themed cinema. If Song joins the production, it’ll mark her return to the big screen approximately nine years after the 2014 film My Brilliant Life. For Jeon, this represents her first foray into the occult genre since her debut.

Previously, Song was set to co-star with Han So Hee in the drama The Price of Confession (literal title). The pairing of the Hallyu queen and the hottest actress garnered significant attention from drama fans both domestically and internationally. Notably, the two actresses had become close friends during pre-production, showcasing their special affection through Instagram. However, due to issues with the production company, the project was unfortunately shelved, and the opportunity to see the two together in the same project was missed.

Amid this disappointment, Jeon Yeo Been, who has been actively building her career with major projects like A Time Called You and Cobweb, has been newly cast as Song Hye Kyo’s partner. Fans are eagerly anticipating the chemistry between the two chemistry queens.

Meanwhile, The Black Nuns will finalize its casting and begin filming in 2024.
