Nam Joo Hyuk has made a striking transformation into a dark hero with the recent launch of the Disney Plus original series Vigilante.

Released on the 8th, episodes 1 and 2 of Vigilante chart the journey of Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo Hyuk), an exemplary police academy student who becomes a vigilante, meting out justice to criminals who evade the law. The episodes touched upon real-life social issues such as senseless violence and sex crimes. Nam Joo Hyuk left a strong impression with the intense line, “Thank you for staying as a piece of crap. Resent the law that freed you.”

The reporter Choi Mi Rye (Kim So Jin), who first reported on the Vigilante, thus revealing his existence to the world, begins to pursue the Vigilante even more doggedly. She throws bait to lure in the Vigilante by deliberately exposing the identities of criminals who have received lenient punishments, chasing him down like a bloodhound and foreshadowing a breathless narrative progression.

With the continued coverage of Vigilante’s crimes, people are rattled, and society becomes unsettled. That’s when Jo Heon (Yoo Ji Tae), the newly appointed head of the metropolitan investigation team tasked with catching the Vigilante, captures the attention with his commanding presence.

Meanwhile, two new episodes of Vigilante will be released every Wednesday.
