G-Dragon says he will fully cooperate with the police investigation.
His legal team shared an official statement on October 31st, saying, “To ensure a quick and fair investigation, G-Dragon plans to appear for police questioning on November 6th over alleged drug use.”
They also asked the media to avoid spreading false rumors about G-Dragon, which could harm his reputation as a famous artist and warned that they would take strong legal action against anyone who spreads untrue reports or defames the artist.
Earlier this month, on the 25th, the Drug Crime Investigation Unit of the Incheon National Police Agency announced they had booked G-Dragon for a possible violation of drug laws but released him without detention. G-Dragon firmly denied any involvement with drugs and expressed his willingness to participate in the investigation to clear his name. On the 30th, he formally told the police, “I’m ready to provide all the necessary information and undergo any required drug testing.”
