Keena will be attending the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on behalf of her group FIFTY FIFTY.
Her agency ATTRAKT earlier announced that she would attend the upcoming award show, which will be held on November 19th.
According to the official nomination list of the 2023 award show, FIFTY FIFTY was nominated in two categories, one for Top Duo/Group and the other for Top Global K-Pop Song.
The rookie act spent 25 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100, Billboard’s main singles chart, with their song “CUPID,” which was released in February. However, their activities were suspended as they filed a preliminary injunction against ATTRAKT for the termination of their exclusive contracts.
The court made a ruling in favor of the agency – the members’ appeals were dismissed by the court on the 24th. Before its dismissal, Keena dropped her appeal and returned to the agency. The company terminated the contracts of the other three members (Sena, Sio, and Aran).
Meanwhile, BTS’ Jimin and New Jeans have snapped up four nominations at this year’s Music Awards show. STRAYKIDS, TOMORROW BY TOGETHER, TWICE, BLACKPINK, SUGA of BTS were nominated in four new K-POP categories.
