Ravi has been sentenced to probation for violating the Military Service Act.
On August 10th, the Seoul Southern District Court handed down a sentence of one year of prison term with two years of probation and 120 hours of community service for his convictions.
The judge stated, “The defendant committed a serious crime by obstructing the execution of public affairs. He received assistance from Mr. Goo, a military service broker, to falsely claim to have epilepsy. His actions were premeditated. However, his lack of prior convictions, sincere reflection on his actions, and commitment to fulfill his military duty upon receiving a guilty verdict were taken into consideration.”
Nafla was also tried on the same day and received a one-year prison sentence, as the court judged his crime to be more severe than Ravi’s.
Regarding Nafla, the judge remarked, “While working as a social service worker, Nafla intentionally tried to obtain a fifth-grade classification. He also sent threatening messages to a Seocho-gu Office official, leading to a broader investigation involving the staff. Moreover, he committed these acts while he was already under investigation for a drug-related case.”
