TVING has unveiled the final cast lineup for its new romance historical drama The Love Story of Chunhwa (literal title).
The Love Story of Chunhwa follows the thrilling journey of Princess Hwa Ri as she sets out to find her husband for herself.
Go Ah Sung plays free-spirited Princess Hwa Ri who decides to lead an independent life by embarking on a new journey of choosing her own husband. Jang Ryul stars as Princess Hwa Ri’s first husband candidate named Choi Hwan who has both looks and wealth but is unfaithful in a relationship.
Chan Hee transforms into Sungkyunkwan’s elite Jang Won. Son Woo Hyun plays the crown prince who is Hwa Ri’s older brother, and Han Seung Yeon joins as Jang Won’s younger sister named Ji Won who is both beautiful and intelligent.
Lim Hwa Yeong plays the role of Crown Princess In Jeong, who married Hwa Ri’s older brother at a young age. Do Yeon Jin will turn into Princess Hwa Jin who is a rival to Prince Hwa Ri, while Kim Taek stars as Prince Hwaseong, who is Hwa Ri’s second brother, and Bae Youn Kyu as genius painter Min Hong.
Additionally, Park Won Sang and Park Sun Young will play Haw Ri’s father and mother in the upcoming show.
The Love Story of Chunhwa is created by Lee Kwang Young, who previously directed Call It Love and No, Thank You, and writer Seo Eun Jung of the sitcom series So Not Worth It.
The new period romance series will be released in 2024.
