Weekly TV Top10: Weekend Drama Showdown Between ‘King the Land’ & ‘Revenant’

Drama Ranking for the 4th Week of June

JTBC’s King the Land has seized the number one spot. Despite criticisms for its cliché-ridden plot, the drama continues its upward trajectory propelled by its cast’s stellar performances. YoonA and Junho have made their mark, securing the first and second spots in the cast rankings. Making a strong debut in No. 2 is SBS’s Revenant. The drama, written by Kim Eun Hee, received high praise for its plot, stirring anticipation for future developments. Meanwhile, ENA’s Lies Hidden in My Garden had a decent start, settling into third place. It has been widely praised for its polished direction and compelling performances, with Lim Ji Yeon’s acting receiving particularly high acclaim. The scene where she’s stuffing herself with jajangmyeon in episode 2 has sparked a significant online buzz. tvN’s See You in My 19th Life kept its spot in fourth place. Although it’s acclaimed for its well-crafted reincarnation theme, the show seems to lack the buzz compared to King the Land. Engaging in a viewership battle with Revenant, MBC’s Numbers debuted at seventh place. It will be interesting to watch if Numbers, a more mass-appealing genre drama, can make significant strides. Meanwhile, an exciting face-off is anticipated in August between MBC and SBS’s weekend dramas. My Dearest, starring Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, season two of The First Responders have confirmed their premiere for August 4th.
