Woo Do Hwan recently addressed the controversy surrounding his decision to release an unaired love scene from the MBC drama Joseon Attorney on his social media account in May.
“It was something that fans had been eagerly looking forward to, and we thought it would be nice to share,” the star explained. “We had put a lot of effort into preparing that scene. It was like a special gift for all the fans who truly love and support this drama.”
Regarding the criticism, he expressed, “There are always those people who get uncomfortable with anything and everything. So, when I realized that the fans of Joseon Attorney didn’t want to see me catch unnecessary heat, I made the call to take it down. “
He further emphasized, “I think it’s best to be straightforward and clear things up instead of letting misunderstandings linger. If I don’t speak up, then it would just put the burden on the people. I just didn’t want to pass on the responsibility to others.”
Do Hwan also mentioned the possibility of a second season for Joseon Attorney. He stated, “If that happens, I’d have to be in even better shape or at least stay in my current shape. I believe I’ll need some time to prepare. It’s not the kind of drama where you can take a month or two off and easily jump back in. If the opportunity comes, I’d be more than willing to be a part of it. I hold both the drama series and the character in high regard.”
