The second season of The Zone: Survival Mission is returning after nine months.
On the morning of the 13th, Disney Plus original variety show, The Zone: Survival Mission, had its press event at JW Marriott Dongdaemun in Seoul. Cast members Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Kwon Yuri, as well as directors Kim Dong Jin and Jo Hyo Jin, attended the event.
Yoo Jae Suk remarked, “The missions require us to endure for four hours, and they have become much grander in scale.” He wittily added, “Given that I naturally get scared very easily, all eight missions were highly challenging. However, compared to the previous season, I believe I have become a little braver.”
“There was a mission during a health check-up that completely blew me away. It was the scariest mission,” revealed Lee Kwang Soo. “Among all the missions, the final one remains the most memorable. It was the episode where we used up all the coins we had collected, and I had my own shining moments.”
Kwon Yuri recalled, “The shooting at KAIST in Daejeon left a strong impression on me. We had a mind-blowing mission set in a futuristic environment, using various cutting-edge devices that suited the school’s reputation.” An endearing story was also shared, where a wedding ceremony took place on set, and Yoo Jae Suk generously gifted the newlywed couple with a monetary present.
The Zone: Survival Mission 2 is a thrilling survival variety show that showcases the extraordinary journey of three members, as they navigate through intense simulations across eight different zones. The show was filmed in Dangjin, Incheon, Ilsan, Seoul, Daejeon, Wonju, Mungyeong, and Busan.
Kwon Yuri playfully expressed, “Even though they can be goofy and unpredictable from time to time, they effortlessly steal the show. Working with them feels like being trapped inside a wacky TV sitcom where anything and everything can happen!”
In response, Lee Kwang Soo affectionately remarked, “I genuinely feel that Yu Ri likes both me and Jae Suk. Even when she goes on personal trips, she never fails to bring back thoughtful gifts for us. I’m incredibly grateful.” He humorously added, “By the way, I’ve almost finished with all the supplement gifts you gave me earlier. Looks like I might need a refill soon, hint hint!”
Yoo Jae Suk commented, “Kwang Soo and I are meant to be. Just when I’m about to give up, Kwang Soo presses the quit button right before me.” He expressed his delight, stating, “When performing the eight missions, Yuri’s presence is essential. That’s why our chemistry is the best.”
