Disney Plus original show The Zone: Survival Mission is returning with a new season this June.
On the 17th, Disney Plus unveiled a comeback teaser for its original variety show, The Zone: Survival Mission 2 (hereafter The Zone 2), offering a glimpse of a scale beyond imagination.
The Zone is a survival variety show where the cast must endure in eight simulation zones, each presenting a disaster threatening humanity. With its unique concept and overwhelming scale, the show garnered much love. Especially the distinctive teamwork and zany chemistry of Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and Kwon Yuri made the show appealing to all generations.
The welcome back teaser video released alongside the confirmation of season 2 showcases a trio who must face off against an even larger scale and even more extreme challenges than in season 1.
The video kicks off with Yoo Jae Suk’s comment, “Season 1 was nothing,” hinting at a much more upgraded “beyond-this-world survival,” instantly building up anticipation for the new season.
From a bed floating on a wide-open ocean to hordes of zombies, the teaser is packed with scenes that make it impossible to take your eyes off, promising more diverse fun. Particularly at the end of the video, the members are stunned by various disaster situations, including Yuri stunned at the sight of a ghost flying in the air and Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo running away in panic, raising expectations for the trio’s unpredictable teamwork.
The Zone 2 will premiere on Disney Plus this coming June.
