Reports suggest that tvN will temporarily stop airing Wednesday-Thursday dramas, with no plans in place after Stealer: The Treasure Keeper concludes.
According to STAR NEWS, on April 25th, tvN announced that they have decided to halt the scheduling of Wednesday-Thursday dramas following the conclusion of Stealer: The Treasure Keeper, which will end on May 18th.
The TV network has yet to plan for the next drama after this series. Dancing Queens on the Road will air its first episode on May 25th at 10:30 PM KST in the original Wednesday-Thursday time slot, and details on what will replace Wednesday-Thursday dramas from May 24th have yet to be decided.
As a result, Stealer: The Treasure Keeper will be the last Wednesday-Thursday drama to air in the first half of this year. The TV network has not decided on the Wednesday-Thursday dramas for the second half of the year.
An official from tvN revealed, “We are making a change of scheduling TV shows regardless of their genre, including dramas, variety shows, and documentaries.”
In the first half of 2023, tvN aired Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist 2, The Heavenly Idol, and Stealer: The Treasure Keeper on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
