Action Thriller ‘Vigilante’ with Nam Joo Hyuk and Yoo Ji Tae to Debut Later This Year

Disney Plus confirmed the release of the highly-anticipated series Vigilante featuring Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Jun Hyuk, and Kim So Jin.

Vigilante is an action thriller about Kim Ji Yong, a model police academy student by day who upholds the law and a vigilante by night who punishes criminals who have escaped the legal system. The story revolves around individuals with different goals surrounding Kim Ji Yong and their intense confrontations.

Nam Joo Hyuk is set to play Kim Ji Yong, showcasing a powerful acting transformation. As the perfect model police academy student with excellent martial arts skills and academic achievements, Kim Ji Yong transforms into the dark hero “Vigilante” at night.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area star Yoo Ji Tae will play Jo Heon, the team leader of the investigation team that pursues the Vigilante. As a leader of the Major Crime Task Force, Jo Heon takes on the mission to capture the Vigilante with a strong sense of duty. 365: Repeat the year actor Lee Jun Hyuk will play Jo Gang Ok, a man who admires the Vigilante and helps him in his own way. Emergency Declaration actress Kim So Jin will play Choi Mi Ryeo, a journalist who first reveals the Vigilante to the world. As a character with conviction and confidence in journalism, Choi Mi Ryeo’s relentless reporting will add tension to the drama.

Meanwhile, Vigilante is based on a popular Naver webtoon with the same title, which has amassed over 370 million global cumulative views, and has been a hot topic since its production stage.

Vigilante is set to premiere on Disney Plus in the second half of 2023.
