Yoo Ah In is set to undergo further investigation by the police on suspicion of drug use.
A police official announced during a regular press conference at the Seoul Western District Police Agency on the 3rd that “Yoo Ah In’s case requires further investigation,” adding that “a thorough investigation is underway, particularly regarding his cocaine use.”
“It’s been pointed out that it’s difficult to prosecute without identifying the time and place of drug use, but this is only a specific Supreme Court ruling. We will do our best to prove the allegations,” he continued.
The actor is accused of using four types of drugs, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine. He appeared at the Seoul Mapo Police Station on the 27th of last month and was questioned as a suspect.
After the investigation, Yoo Ah In said in front of the reporters, “I was stuck in a swamp of rationalizing my own deviant behavior as not harming anyone.” He then went on, “I want to take the opportunity to live a healthy life that I haven’t been able to live before. I’m truly sorry for disappointing people,” adding that “I’ve said all I could (in the investigation).”
