Jimin made a splash on the popular American talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Fallon introduced Jimin as “a grammy-nominated artist and a global pop music icon that you know from BTS” who’s making his solo debut with FACE. The singer walked up to the stage amid fans’ enthusiastic cheers, showing off his presence as the first K-pop singer to appear solo on the show.
Talking about BTS getting nominated for Grammys five times, Jimin said, “We got nominated thanks to fans, of course. I appreciate them,” to which his fans responded with another cheer. He also talked about his passion for music and dance. “When I was in middle school, I found my interest in dancing, and ever since then, it was always my dream to perform on stage.”
Soon, Fallon brought up Jimin’s many nicknames, including Mochi, and the singer pleased the host by choosing his favorite one as “Jimin Fallon.”
Later in the interview, Jimin had time to talk about what inspired his solo debut album FACE. “In fact, this album is… I think many are aware of it, but the album looks back on the emotions I felt chronologically throughout the pandemic. So I’d be happy if many people could relate to it.”
