Disney Plus original series Call It Love had its first press event at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul on February 21st.
Director Lee Kwang Young, Kim Young Kwang, Lee Sung Kyung, Sung Joon, Ahn Hee Yeon and Kim Ye Won attended the event to talk about their new series.
Lee Sung Kyung shared how she got into character while filming the show with Kim Young Kwang. She stated, “We were already so close. So I tried to stay away from him on set to fully focus on my role and project negative emotions toward him on camera.”
“Our on-screen relationship changes later in the show. While shooting the drama, I think I was too caught up in pondering over my character to check how its emotions were being captured on the screen. But I found out that they were well captured in the series, thanks to the director, even without me having to try so hard to portray them,” she added.
She also shared a heartwarming story about her co-star. “Kim Young Kwang is one of my best friends who knows me well. Thankfully, he has put in a good word for me with the director by saying that I’m a cheerful person who always stays positive even when things get tough. That is just one of the examples of him saying something good about me to others.”
Call It Love tells an emotional love story of a revenge-seeking woman named Woo Ju and her target named Dong Jin. This new Disney Plus series will be released on February 22nd.
