Park Seo Joon‘s Hollywood debut got pushed back to November.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige opened up about the upcoming highly-anticipated Marvel movie The Marvels. EW reported on the 17th (local time), “Disney announced Friday that The Marvels is moving from summer to fall, with a new release date of Nov. 10, 2023.”
Directed by Candyman’s Nia DaCosta, the sequel to Captain Marvel originally announced its release in July, but the date was postponed four months.
It was reported earlier that Park Seo Joon plays Carol Danvers’ (Brie Larson) husband in The Marvels, which follows Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.
He’s playing a character called Prince Yan, a leader of a musical planet where everyone has to sing to communicate. Created by Kelly Sue DeConnick and David López in 2014, Yan debuted in Captain Marvel #9. Yan appeared in the comics alongside Captain Marvel during one of her visits to his home planet Aladna, where every inhabitant speaks in rhymes.
In the comics, Yan was seen singing or reciting poetry, meaning the actor’s singing will be revealed to the world. And alongside the singing, there’s also an interest in Park Seo Joon’s acting in English.
