DKZ’s Jaechan was reportedly cast in the new drama The Woman Who Plays (literal title).
The Woman Who Plays is based on a web novel of the same name. It depicts the romance between Ji Hwan (Uhm Tae Goo), a former gangster with a dark past, and Eun Ha (Han Sun Hwa), a pretty woman who plays with little kids.
In the drama, Jaechan plays Dong Hee, the cute youngest member of Ji Hwan’s crew. The tight bromance he’ll show with Uhm Tae Goo will be one of the key features of the series.
The Woman Who Plays is Jaechan’s first TV series that airs on a broadcasting network. He starred in the hit BL drama Semantic Error, released on Watcha, and rose to stardom by playing the role Choo Sang Woo. With Jaechan’s popularity, his group DKZ rose to fame and has continued its upward trend since then. Last year, Jaechan proved his potential as an actor, sweeping popularity awards in APAN Star Awards and Blue Dragon Series Awards.
Meanwhile, The Woman Who Plays will premiere later this year.
