Netflix’s movie Kill Boksoon will be screened at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival as part of its special program.
The upcoming film is an action thriller that follows a legendary killer named Kill Bok Soon getting stuck in a no-win dilemma situation just before renewing her contact with her contract killing agency. Helmed by director Byun Sung Hyun, the film will be starring Jeon Do Yeon, Seol Kyung Gu, Kim Sia, Lee Esom, and Koo Kyo Hwan.
Following the premiere of The Merciless at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, the new film will mark the director’s second project being screened at an international film festival. Jeon Do Yeon will be attending the Berlin Film Festival for the third time followed by her 2004 Untold Scandal for the panorama section and 2008 My Dear Enemy for the forum section. It will mark Seol Kyung Gu’s second time at the event after his 2019 Idol premiere for the panorama section.
Director Byun shared, “The invitation was totally unexpected but I’m very thrilled for the movie to be presented at the event. I want to thank everybody for recognizing the film. I hope the news could be a pleasant gift for the actors too.”
