Fantagio officially clarified the false rumors regarding Rocky‘s activities.
On November 24th, ASTRO’s agency issued an official statement. “We apologize to AROHAs who may have been hurt due to false rumors circulating online about our artist Rocky. We are letting you know that all of the rumors about Rocky halting activities are not true”
Cosmetics brand ATOMY, which Astro represents, reportedly sent a direct message to a lucky fan who won autographed merchandise on November 22nd. The message said, “We inform you that MJ is serving in the military, and Rocky recently went on hiatus for personal reasons. So only four members’ autographs will be signed on the product. The item will be sent to Taiwan at the end of this month. We are sorry for our late reply.”
In response, the agency said, “We voiced our displeasure with the brand for disseminating incorrect information regarding Rocky’s activities, which we have never mentioned. We had asked for and were expecting an explanation and apologies.”
“However, we felt that we could no longer wait and have issued an official statement as a result. We ask for your kind understanding for the delay in issuing an official statement regarding this matter.” the company explained.
When the word got spread online, many speculated that Rocky would go on a hiatus and eventually leave the team.
