The police conducted a 5-hour raid on Hook Entertainment, according to reports made on November 11th.
The exact reason for the raid has not been revealed yet. Some speculate that the raid is related to Park Min Young‘s alleged ex-boyfriend Kang Jong Hyun as three of his businesses have been recently searched.
A former reporter named Lee Jin Ho stressed the fact that the raid was done by the National Police Agency’s Serious Crime Investigation Division. He shared, “As the division takes direct orders from the police commissioner and the head of the National Office of Investigation, they don’t just go search for random stuff or stuff that can get them in trouble. They are very careful in launching their investigation, and they are usually equipped with hard evidence or proper data when they start an investigation.”
He revealed that the only reason they were searched is because of their connection with president Won Young Sik of Chorokbaem Media. He added, “Kang and the president are very close. Also, Hook Entertainment is a subsidiary of Chorokbaem Media. The reason Park Min Young changed her agency to Hook Entertainment is because of her connection with Kang.”
However, Hook Entertainment has been denying the speculations, claiming that the raid is irrelevant to Park Min Young and the president.
Meanwhile, Yoon Yuh Jung, Lee Seo Jin, Park Min Young and Lee Seung Gi are currently signed with Hook Entertainment.
