Park Yoo Chun will make his long-awaited return to the big screen through a new independent film named On the Edge (working title).
Set to drop in October, the upcoming film follows a man named Tae Hong, who used to be prominent but lost everything at once, and a woman named Hong Dan, who had the odds stacked against her from the beginning of her life.
The new film has already won him various film awards, including the Best Leading Performance award at the 2021 Las Vegas Asian Film Awards. The film is directed by Kim See Woo behind A Guard (literal title), Closet (literal title) and Turandot.
The actor will take on his first leading role in seven years since Sea Fog, playing the once-famous doctor and a son-in-law of a wealthy family who lost everything he had. Love Naggers actress Lee Jin Ri will star as a woman who tries to hide her heart-wrenching past.
The main poster has Park Yoo Chun in a black suit, gazing somewhere as he seems to be lost in despair.
All eyes are on the actor’s return, and how he will win our hearts again after the infamous scandal he raised three years ago.
