Hunt was officially invited to the 36th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Sitges Film Festival, and Fantasy Filmfest (FFF).
Hunt follows NIS agents Park Pyung Ho (Lee Jung Jae) and Kim Jung Do (Jung Woo Sung), who doubt each other as the mole in the agency, as they face a huge incident called “Korea’s No. 1 Assassination Op.” This action flick has drawn global attention as the directorial debut film of Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae.
After the movie was invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, Deadline called it “an action-filled, character-driven psychological espionage tale,” and The Wrap praised it as “sleek and serious, burnished and brutal.” Since then, Hunt was also invited to several major film festivals, including the 47th TIFF, Fantastic Fest 2022, the 55th Sitges Film Festival, and the 36th FFF. Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung have confirmed their attendance at the TIFF and the Sitges.
Hunt was invited to the Gala Presentation section of TIFF, one of the “Big Five” film festivals. It’ll have its North American premiere on September 15th. The next day, the Hunt team will host “In Conversation With…” During the event, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung will talk about the first movie they starred in together, City of the Rising Sun, and their directorial debut with Hunt and A Man of Reason (Jung Woo Sung).
Then in October, they’ll be heading to Spain to attend the Sitges. Hunt was invited to the Orbita section of the festival. Lee Jung Jae will walk on the red carpet as Hunt director, whilst Jung Woo Sung as the helmer of A Man of Reason, which was also invited to the same section.
