NewJeans posed for the pictorial in the September issue of ELLE.
On Friday, ELLE unveiled the pictorial for NewJeans. This pictorial was NewJeans’ first official photoshoot since their debut. But from group photos to individual photos, the girls radiated their charms.
In an interview conducted afterward, the girls talked about their grand debut. “Even before our debut, I was most looking forward to music shows,” Minji said. “I’m just glad we got to show good performances for all three title songs since we’ve prepared for them for a long time.”
Danielle commented, “I was really nervous since it was my first time meeting the fans, but seeing the members standing on the stage together, I was just thrilled.” Haerin chimed in, “There needs to be different expressions and vibes in just one song, so we think about how to make all of them come together naturally. There are lots of things that I want to show on stage.”
Hanni shared that the act’s greatest strength was their comfortable and free vibe. “Until recently, I was bad at typing in Korean, but the girls helped me every time, so I’m thankful for that,” she explained, showing love for her groupmates. Hyein shared, “The best thing is that we take good care of each other and look after each other a lot. Sometimes when I’m having a tough time, the members notice it first and come to comfort me first.” She then added, “I wish I could become friends with my fans as well.”
