Shinhwa’s members Lee Min Woo, Jun Jin and Kim Dong Wan are preparing to promote as a three-member unit group this winter.
The unit group, WDJ, will be the first sub-unit of the South Korean boy group Shinhwa. The group’s agency, Liveworks Company, shared, “Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo, Kim Dong Wan, and Jun Jin will officially form a unit group this winter. As it is the group’s first unit group since their debut in 1998, we are putting our best effort into coming up with quality music that will set new standards. Please stay tuned for their debut!”
The unit’s name ‘Shinhwa WDJ’ is taken from the initial letters of the three Shinhwa members, and fans are excited to hear that they will promote their album as an official sub-unit, not as individual artists or a one-time collaboratory team.
Known as M, Lee Min Woo debuted as a vocalist of Shinhwa and released several of his own songs as a solo artist. Kim Dong Wan has been actively pursuing his music and acting career since his debut and recently starred in a musical called Seopyeonje. Jun Jin, the rapper and main dancer of the group, also released his solo albums and appeared in various variety shows.
Shinhwa, the longest-lasting group in the K-pop industry, made their debut with the album Resolver and released countless hits like “T.O.P.,” “Only One,” Wedding”, “Once In A Lifetime, “Venus,” “This Love,” and “Sniper.”
