Steven Yeun will reunite with director Bong Joon Ho through his next film Mickey 7 (working title).
Variety reported on July 7th that Yeun will be joining Pattinson, Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette and Naomi Ackie. Pattinson is expected to play the lead role, but further casting details have not been confirmed.
The Korean American actor is well-known in South Korea as he previously worked with director Lee Chang Dong on Burning and with actress Youn Yuh Jung through Minari. Mickey 7 marks his reunion with director Bong after starring in Okja.
The new flick follows disposable employee Mickey7 on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Although the film is based on Edward Ashton’s novel of the same name, it is not clear how closely it will follow the original story.
