Lee Joon Ki and Shin Se Kyung were offered the lead roles of Arthdal Chronicles, which recently got a green light for season two.
Arthdal Chronicles is a fantasy drama that depicts the fateful stories of heroes who write different legends in the ancient land Arth. Season one, released in 2019, received mixed reviews at first. But the show gained favorable reviews in the latter half, leading to the request for season two.
Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who penned season one, were once again tabbed as the writers for season two. Joining them in the cast is The Great Battle director Kim Kwang Sik. Following the first season, the unprecedented scale of the set and budget will continue in the renewed season of Arthdal Chronicles.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 will be set ten years after the time in season one. Therefore, changes to the cast will follow.
