Kim Ji Won will show an emotional performance in the new JTBC drama My Liberation Notes.

My Liberation Notes tells the story of three siblings and a mysterious stranger who wants to escape their frustrating lives. The desperate attempt of those who try to escape the “now” will present warm laughter and sympathy. The Light in Your Eyes and Law School director Kim Seok Yoon helms the production with My Mister and Another Miss Oh writer Park Hye Young.

Today, the production released the stills of Yeom Min Jeong, played by Kim Ji Won. Feeling trapped in the confines of everyday life, she has a dim smile on her face while working in the office. The photos that show her silently enduring every day at work raise the sympathy of modern people.

Born as an introvert, Yeom Mi Jeong had lived her life feeling like she was alone in the whole world. Exhausted by all kinds of relationships, she feels like life is just never-ending homework. And to escape a heavy heart, she begins writing “my liberation notes.” While doing so, Mr. Goo (Son Suk Ku), who she feels uncomfortable around, starts to catch her eye.

“Mi Jeong has this calmness in her that’s not easily shaken. Rather than following others, she’s the kind of person who follows her heart,” said Kim Ji Won. “She contemplates on her life. And because of it, she has a strong desire for liberation. I hope you can clearly see the changes in Mi Jeong’s heart.”

Meanwhile, JTBC’s new weekend drama My Liberation Notes will premiere on April 9th at 10:30 PM KST.
