SF9’s Chanhee and Hwiyoung were indicted for violating COVID-19 restrictions. In response, FNC Entertainment has issued a public apology on behalf of their artists.
Reports say the police found the two at a bar in Seoul way past the curfew hours. The bar was closed and locked, so the police and firefighters reportedly had to break into the establishment to enter the building.
The police found and charged Chanhee, Hwiyoung, and 13 other men at the bar for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention Act. However, three days after the incident, the controversy grew as they continued their activities by holding concerts from January 21st to the 23rd.
The agency stated, “Hwiyoung and Chanhee visited a pub after receiving a call from their friends. They were there to celebrate Chanhee’s birthday on his day off and were found by the police past the restricted hours. It is clear that they have done something reckless that deserves to be criticized. We apologize for causing concern to the public as well as the fans.”
