The Korean remake of Money Heist has confirmed its title – Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area – and dropped a special teaser.
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area depicts a hostage crisis in Korea, involving a genius strategist and people with different personalities and abilities. It’s the Korean remake of Money Heist, a Spanish heist crime series that created a global sensation when it aired on Netflix in late 2017.
The released teaser begins by showing the Professor (Yoo Ji Tae) in agony in a dark room. Soon, his eyes lock on the various masks hanging on a wall. What’s impressive about these masks is that along with the Dali mask, the signature look of the robbers in the original series, there are also Korean traditional masks.
Soon, Sun Woo Jin (Kim Yun Jin), the police crisis negotiation team leader, appears, heralding the government’s effort to capture the Professor that planned the robbery. Afterwards, the eight robbers are introduced with their city names, adding to the anticipation.
