SBS’s Now, We Are Breaking Up has reached a turning point. While the realistic portrayal of work, love, and friendship of people in their 30s is receiving a lot of love, the ending scenes that leave viewers wanting for more are considered the drama’s highlight.

 

Episode 1 – Jang Ki Yong recognizes Song Hye Kyo

In episode one, Ha Young Eun (Song Hye Kyo) and Yoon Jae Guk (Jang Ki Yong) spent the night together. Afterwards, Ha Young Eun met Yoon Jae Guk once again at a blind date that she went instead of Hwang Chi Sook (Choi Hee Seo) then got involved with him again as her photographer. Ha Young Eun pretended to be Hwang Chi Sook the whole time, but Yoon Jae Guk called her name at the decisive moment. It was the start of a fateful romance.

 

Episode 2 – Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong’s sad connection

Finding himself falling for Ha Young Eun, Yoon Jae Guk cancels his flight to Paris and stays in Seoul. However, the two had a sad connection. Yoon Su Wan, Ha Young Eun’s lover from ten years ago, turned out to be Yoon Jae Guk’s brother. When he asked her if she knew Yoon Su Wan, Ha Young Eun replied, “I’m still breaking up with him.”

 

Episode 3 – Jang Ki Yong tells Song Hye Kyo about his brother’s death

After Yoon Su Wan disappeared out of her life, Ha Young Eun had put down the shutters and devoted herself to her work. For her, Yoon Jae Guk was the first attraction she felt in ten years. Ha Young Eun asked Yoon Jae Guk, whom she ran into in the rain, how he knew Yoon Su Wan. That moment, Yoon Jae Guk told her that Yoon Su Wan was his older brother and passed away ten years ago.

 

Episode 4 – Jang Ki Yong conveys his heart to Song Hye Kyo

After finding out the truth, Ha Young Eun pushed Yoon Jae Guk away. However, their feelings for another had already grown so big. Knowing that she was trying to avoid him, Yoon Jae Guk confessed his feelings, saying, “Did you miss me? I missed you.”

 

Episode 5 – Their relationship started 10 years ago

Ha Young Eun purchased a photo of an unknown photographer ten years ago while studying in Paris. The person who took the picture was none other than Yoon Jae Guk. Also, Yoon Su Wan met Ha Young Eun when he went to see her on behalf of Yoon Jae Guk. Ha Young Eun and Yoon Jae Guk were meant to be from ten years ago. Learning the truth, tears fell from Ha Young Eun’s eyes.

 

Episode 6 – A call from her dead ex’s phone number

After going around the long way, Ha Young Eun and Yoon Jae Guk finally faced each other. The moment their love was about to begin, Ha Young Eun received a phone call from Yoon Su Wan’s number, along with the message, “How are you doing?” Ha Young Eun looked surprised while Yoon Jae Guk had a smile, unaware of what was happening. Like the different expressions of the two, this particular ending scene sent a wave of shock to the viewers.

 

Episode 7 & 8 – Their love is faced with the cold reality

The person who called Ha Young Eun was Shin Yoo Jung, Yoon Su Wan’s fiance from ten years ago. Realizing what had happened, Yoon Jae Guk told his mother Min Hye Ok that he was dating Ha Young Eun. Afterwards, Min Hye Ok contacted Ha Young Eun and asked for a meeting. Ha Young Eun, Yoon Jae Guk, and Min Hye Ok – the sad situation surrounding the three saddened the viewers.
