[Weekly TV Top 10] ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ Ends at No. 1, But the Glory Was Short-lived

Drama Ranking for the 2nd Week of October

tvN’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha took first place with the happy ending of Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho. However, the controversy over Kim Seon Ho’s personal life arose soon after the drama ended, putting the show in a somewhat awkward position. The final interviews of the cast, including Kim Seon Ho, Shin Min Ah, and Lee Sang Yi, were canceled one after another, and the publication of the photo essay was also canceled. Meanwhile, KBS’ The King’s Affection kicked off strong at No. 2. Park Eun Bin and Rowoon’s fateful reunion in episode two raised expectations for future development. tvN’s Yumi’s Cells, which came in third, gained viewers’ sympathy as friction arose between Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun due to Ahn Bo Hyun’s old friend Park Ji Hyun. Fourth place went to SBS’s One the Woman, which made headlines for Lee Ha Nee and Lee Sang Yoon’s drunk kiss scene. JTBC’s new series Reflection of You debuted at No. 7. Many reacted that the drama is like the video pictorial of Go Hyun Jung, and at the same time, Go Hyun Jung and Shin Hyun Bin’s tense confrontation drew favorable reviews. tvN’s Jirisan, set to premiere on October 23rd, has proved its popularity, ranking 10th even before the premiere.
