Jung Ho Yeon appeared on tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block to talk about how she has been since Squid Game came out.

She came on the show exuding lively energy completely different from those she had as Kang Sae Byeok in Squid Game. The busy actress said with a smile, “I started working at 3 AM today. I had just finished filming for the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier today.”

When asked about the biggest change in her life since Squid Game, Jung Ho Yeon answered, “It’s all amazing. I get a ton of commercial offers.” She also revealed how her family reacted to the news, saying, “My family is staying calm and cool. But one day, my younger sister came over to me and said, ‘Hey, you did great. I didn’t feel awkward (while watching your show).’ So, I was very happy to hear that because she’s not the kind of person who says that out loud. I felt like my family has really approved of me.”

She revealed that while she was so thankful for the skyrocketing popularity, there were times when she cried in front of her friend out of fear. She said that her friend has told her, ‘Snap it out. All the fuss will die down soon,’ and explained how those words made her gain her courage again.

She shared that she is trying to move forward with the thoughts or feelings she’s having, then start anew.

She also mentioned her longtime boyfriend, Lee Dong Hwi, saying, “I told him that I would at least appear on You Quiz on the Block before him, and my words came true. It was incredible.”
