‘Why Oh Soo Jae?’ has finalized its stellar cast.
The new SBS series Why Oh Soo Jae? is about the coldhearted lawyer Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), who becomes empty while pursuing only success, and law school student Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop), who isn’t afraid of anything when it comes to protecting her.
A wrong choice turned the two people’s lives in the wrong direction. Their story of escaping the abyss raises expectations for the birth of a different kind of mystery romance law drama.
Firstly, Seo Hyun Jin plays Oh Soo Jae, a star lawyer who has swallowed her regrets and has turned spiteful. Oh Soo Jae is the youngest partner at the leading TK law firm and an ace lawyer that everyone acknowledges. She’s competitive enough to make everyone kneel before her. All her life was about “perfect” success.
Her life took a wrong turn when the choice she made, believing that it’s an opportunity for success, turned out to be a bad choice. But instead of regretting it, she becomes tougher with malice and aims to go even higher.
Hwang In Yeop will take on the role of Gong Chan, a law school student who reaches out to Oh Soo Jae after her downfall. This warm-hearted young man knows how to empathize and understand other people. Though he may look like he had lived a smooth-sailing life, he also has a painful past where his fate had twisted. After Oh Soo Jae is pushed out of her position as an affiliated professor for the law school, Gong Chan has a fateful encounter with her, which ends up bringing a big change in his life. He’s the person who teaches Oh Soo Jae what “love” is.
Lastly, veteran actor Heo Joon Ho was cast as TK law firm’s chairman Choi Tae Guk. Choi Tae Guk is the kind of person who is faithful to his desires and openly crosses the boundary of good and evil to achieve his goal. He keeps his eyes on Oh Soo Hae, who acts loyal to him while hiding her true feelings.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, it was also confirmed that Bae In Hyuk would be joining the series as Choi Yoon Sang, one of Choi Tae Guk’s sons.
Why Oh Soo Jae? will premiere in the first half of 2022.
