Tale of the Nine-Tailed has confirmed the production of two more seasons.
According to a number of reports, tvN’s Tale of the Nine-Tailed decided to produce two more 16-part seasons. This fantasy action drama tells the story of a male gumiho who has settled in the city and a fearless television producer who is determined to track him down.
The first season aired in October 2020 and ended with the highest viewer ratings of 5.8%. There was a talk about the drama turning into a seasonal series, which turned out to be true.
However, the leading female actor will change. Jo Bo Ah, who performed the role of Nam Ji Ah, decided not to join the follow-up season. The production team had already started looking for a new actress. On the other hand, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum will once again join the cast.
In the meantime, the following seasons will take the viewers back to the past. Season 2 is set in the Japanese colonial period, while season 3 takes place in the Joseon Dynasty. Hence, the genre will be changed to historical fantasy. The new season will air in the first half of next year.
