SHINee’s Key will drop his first mini-album, BAD LOVE, on the 27th. This upcoming album, full of Key’s unique color, marks his solo comeback in two years and six months.
When the artist was asked to describe the album in one word, his answer was “KEY.” He explained, “It’s full of my tastes and what kind of music I wanted to introduce.” Key then added, “Everyone agreed in creating a powerful performance, and it seems to have come out just like that. The performance in the climax reflects my beliefs of ‘simple is the best.’”
He then mentioned his music video of the title track “Bad Love,” composed by SM’s hit-maker Kenzie. “The way the inner world of the main character changes is expressed through the changes in the set. So I hope you pay attention to that.”
In the meantime, Key collaborated with Taeyeon in the pre-released song “Hate that…” The artist relayed, “It felt like I was taking too much time working on this album. The song was prepared as a surprise gift because I thought I had to show something to my fans who had been waiting. I asked Taeyeon to take part in the featuring of the song.”
Key talked about what he wishes to accomplish with BAD LOVE. He shared, “I produced this album with the most passion before I regret not doing it. So the more people enjoy it, the more proud I will be.” Lastly, he thanked his fans, saying, “Thank you for waiting. It’s an album I worked really hard on, so I hope you enjoy it as much as you need it.”
