BTS has officially canceled their postponed “Map of the Soul” world tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On August 20th, Big Hit Music announced, “Knowing that all fans have been waiting eagerly for the tour, we have worked very hard to resume the plans for the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR. However, we found it would be difficult to continue the event at the scale and timeline we have originally planned due to the constantly changing state of affairs. Therefore, we are afraid that we must announce the cancellation of the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR.”
They remarked, “Unfortunately, we now have to notify you of the official cancellation of the tour. For those who have purchased the tickets for the North American shows, you will receive an email from your vendor regarding refunds.”
In addition, they stated, “To all fans who have been waiting for the BTS MAP OF TE SOUL TOUR to resume, please allow us to offer our heartfelt apologies. We are preparing a sustainable timetable and performance format that will meet your expectations, and we will offer updates as soon as possible.”
