Choi Soo Young will join Jang Geun Seok to star in the upcoming drama series.
According to multiple industry insiders, Choi has confirmed to appear in the Kakao TV series, Somehow Country Diary. It is a romance about a vet from Seoul meeting a police officer while living in the remote countryside.
Choi Soo Young will play Ahn Ja Young, a fearless policewoman who appears whenever someone needs help. Jang Geun Seok will play Han Ji Yul, a vet working in the town’s animal clinic.
Somehow Country Diary will be Choi’s next small-screen project after her latest TV series, JTBC’s Run On. And it will also be Jang’s long-awaited drama comeback after being discharged in June last year.
Presented by Kakao M, Do You Like Brahms? director Jo Young Min produces the series, and writer Baek Eun Kyung pens the script.
