Song Hye Kyo is reuniting with director Lee Eung Bok.
Song has confirmed to join Sweet Home director Lee Eung Bok’s new project.
An official from the production shared, “I believe Song Hye Kyo made a verbal agreement to join director Lee’s new drama. It will be a mystery thriller, so the audience would be able to enjoy his fantastic directing and discover Song’s brand new charm,” on July 22nd.
Director Lee Eung Bok is one of the top star directors who had seen multiple success, including Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and Sweet Home. Currently, his upcoming drama Jiri-san is scheduled to air soon. Previously, he has teamed up with the actress in the KBS drama Descendants of the Sun, which garnered national viewership ratings of 30 percent.
She will keep her schedule busy with her new project with director Lee. Currently, Song Hye Kyo is filming Now, We Are Breaking Up, and she will head straight into The Glory, written by Kim Eun Sook, once it ends.
In Now, We’re Breaking Up, Song plays Ha Young, the head of the design team of a fashion company who is strict with herself and sensitive to trends. Plus, in the 8th episode of The Glory, she will play a character who was once a victim of school violence. After becoming a homeroom teacher of a child who has been leading the violence, she begins to take her sweet revenge.
