According to YG Entertainment, Jennie’s new song “SOLO” surpassed 300M streams on Spotify as of June 30th.

With this record, Jennie is now the first Korean artist to have a song with more than 300M streams on Spotify. In addition, “SOLO” became the most-streamed song by a single Korean singer, beating PSY’s “Gangnam Style” records last October.

Released in November of 2018, “SOLO” received many favorable reviews for its beautiful chords on the intro, intuitive melody line, and honest lyrics. In particular, Jennie’s lyrics brought such great reviews for their bold yet beautiful illustration of a woman who stays confident and positive even after a painful breakup.

When Jennie’s song came out, it topped Korean music platforms in real-time, including the daily and weekly charts. Also, her song debuted at the submit of iTunes in 40 different overseas countries, including the iTunes Worldwide Song chart and the US iTunes Top 10 chart.
