Jang Hyuk has reunited with The swordsman director Choi Jae Hoon.
On June 8th, his agency Sidus HQ announced that the actor would be playing a retired assassin who will deliver catharsis to viewers with a new style of action.
The film is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Bang Jin Ho. It’s a story of a retired assassin who gets swept up in a case. He has to use violence to protect an adolescent girl he unexpectedly became responsible for.
Jang Hyuk will play a former professional assassin Eui Kang, who is now enjoying a relaxed life. He’s expected to bring thrill with satisfying action scenes.
Regarding the movie, the actor said, “My character Eui Kang is someone who seems dry on the outside but, deep down, he’s got the urge like a fire. I hope the movie would fully portray the refreshing scene where he overcomes his trauma and changes the toxic environment. And since it is an action movie, I’ve thought through a lot about showcasing a diverse and new style of stunts. I’m working hard to come up with an action movie that can present a fresh style, so please look forward to it a lot.
The Child Who Deserves to Die’s shooting will begin in June.
