Kim Nam Gil will be the main character of a series based on Kwon Il Yong’s story, South Korea’s first ‘Profiler’.

He will play the leading character of a crime thriller based on Kwon Il Yong’s story from the original book called People who read the mind of evil. According to the coverage of OSEN, Seol I Na will be in charge of writing the screenplay, and this will air on SBS 4th.

The series deals with the profiler’s career looking into criminals’ minds, such as Yoo Young Cheol, Jeong Nam Gyu, and Kang Ho Soon. At the time, the word ‘profiling’ was not well-known, and there was no comprehensive understanding of the term ‘psychopath.’

The original author, Kwon Il Yong, became a police officer in 1989 and the first profiler in Korea in 2000. The names became famous while he was profiling serial killers such as Yoo Young Cheol and Jung Nam Gyu.

Kim Nam Gil plays a profiler for the criminal behavior analysis team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, who looks deeper into the human mind than anyone else with a delicate perspective.

OCN series Ireland, which he was previously confirmed to play the part, is delaying its broadcasting and will be filmed in the second half of this year.
