An individual from his agency told SpoTV News on the 20th, “We appointed a lawyer to sue the malicious commenters, for the first time in 20 years.”

The legal representative of Sung Si Kyung, YK law firm, filed a complaint to the Seoul Seocho Police Station on charges of violating the law on promoting false information and defamation.

Sung Si Kyung has been suffering from the hating comments he received for a long time. “He has been quietly continuing with his schedule while turning a blind eye even on the most absurd rumors. However, the level of the comments recently became unbearable. They criticized Sung Si Kyung’s activities in Japan calling him a traitor,” said a related individual.

Through the recently made complaint, a large list of malicious commenters has been reported to handed over to the police. It has been reported that hate-commenters continued even after several warnings. “They even wrote malicious comments under the announcement about our legal response. There will be absolutely no leniency or agreement. We will push through with strict legal actions,” they emphasized.

Sung Si Kyung previously posted on his SNS last November, “I don’t think I should overlook this issue anymore. I myself am hurt by the malicious rumors about my personality, but it hurts me more to think about how disappointing it must have been to people who support and like me. We are working on our legal response. Evidence has already been collected and additional evidence is being collected. Those who have information or evidence that can be helpful should send them to the email address below.” He also added that he would not tolerate these types of comments anymore.
