BTS and EXO Win Awards Side by Side in GDA, for the Most Popular Artist Award

EXO and BTS won the Most Popular Artist Award at The 35th Golden Disc Awards with CURAPROX.

In the music category, EXO won the ‘QQ Music Fans’ Choice K-Pop Artist Award’ while BTS won the Most Popular Artist Award in the ceremony held on the 10th. Both groups won 100% due to the votes of their fans.

The ‘QQ Music Fans’ Choice K-Pop Artist Award’ awarded to EXO was decided by the poll held on China’s largest music platform, QQ Music. As EXO received more than 100 million votes, they came first. While the group did not attend the award ceremony, members Baekhyun and Kai expressed their feelings through a video.

Baekhyun and Kai thanked their fans (EXO-L) for cheering them on and hoped for the situation to get better so that they could meet up in person. “We will work harder from now on. Please look forward to it,” they said.

BTS received the Most Popular Artist Award, which was participated by K-Pop fans from all over the world except China. BTS’s Jin stirred laughter as he said, “This is a prize that you get when you’re really popular. That’s why I realized, ‘We are in fact really popular.’”

The group’s member V also said that he smiles to himself before bed when he thinks about how more popular he became. “I’m delighted to have received such an award,” he added.
