Singer Golden (also known as Kim Ji Hyun) will be leaving H1ghr Music.
H1ghr Music revealed on January 8th, “As of December 2020, Golden’s exclusive contract has expired. H1ghr Music will support his musical career in the future and cheer him on for his fresh start.”
Golden made himself at home at H1ghr Music back in 2017 and has maintained a close relationship with the company for three years. With the agency’s enthusiastic support, Golden won Mnet’s Voice Korea 2020 and has built his discography with the EP Hate Everything and mini-album Circles.
As he changed his stage name to Golden through the busking documentary video and a live clip of “Hate Everything,” it allowed Golden to be recognized by the public without a preconception that he was formerly from another agency. He also became the talk of the town when he demonstrated his soul while singing in an unfamiliar place.
Golden revealed, “I thank H1ghr Music for believing in my choice and helping me through it. I want to continue a good partnership with the label not as a label-to-member, but as an artist-to-artist.”
