BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” dance performance video has hit 500 million views on YouTube. While the number is not easy to achieve even with music videos, the record for this choreography video is unmatched.
According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ performance video surpassed 500 million views on YouTube at exactly 7.05 a.m. KST on January 6th. This is 183 days since its first release on July 6th of last year. BLACKPINK is the first group to have achieved 500 million views on a K-Pop choreography video.
BLACKPINK virtually has no rivals. The video’s record of hundreds of millions of views is something that only BLACKPINK prides on. Other dance videos such as BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love” also reached 300 million-view-marks, but “How You Like That” has been receiving an unstoppable amount of love and exceeded previous records.
This dance video reached 100 million views in 15 days and 21 hours after its release, 200 million views in 45 days and 4 hours, 300 million views in 76 days and 20 hours, and 400 million views in 120 days and 10 hours. The record of 500 million views just goes to show their unstoppable popularity.
BLACKPINK’s position on YouTube is also improving day by day. The group now has 25 videos with hundreds of millions of views, in total. With more than 55.3 million subscribers, their YouTube channel is maintaining the position as the world’s second-largest artist channel.
