EXO’s Baekgyun successfully finished his first solo concert.
Yesterday at 3 pm KST, Baekhyun held his online concert “Beyond LIVE – BAEKHYUN: LIGHT.” Under the concept of his superpower, LIGHT, Baekhyun presented high-quality performances for his fans. The spectacular AR and graphic effects were combined to complete one fantastic and mystic stage.
The response was hot. The concert drew 110,000 fans from 120 countries, including Korea, U.S., China, Japan, and Thailand. The online reactions were also passionate as hashtags such as #BAEKHYUNBeyondLIVE and #BAEKHYUN1stConcert topped real-time Twitter trends in France, the Netherlands, Russia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
For the concert, Baekhyun sang a total of 23 songs. Not only did he perform his solo songs such as “Underwater,” “UN Village,” and “Poppin,” he also gifted fans solo versions of some of EXO’s hit songs like “Call Me Baby,” “Growl,” and “Cherish.”
He also prepared a surprise gift for his fans, a performance for “Addicted,” a track of his first Japanese mini-album Baekhyun, and a performance and music video for “Get You Alone,” the title track of the album.
Baekhyun shared, “It’s so nice to greet you online and feel the same happiness at the same time. Like the light that can be seen anywhere, I want to stay by your side. I ask for your undying love and support.”
Meanwhile, Baekhyun dropped “Get You Alone” and the music video on Jan 4 at midnight. The album will officially be unveiled at noon in Korea.
