As the end of the year closes in, the season for carols has arrived.
Various winter songs are released as they spread the warmth this year. Artists this year especially focus on soothing those who have been through hardships in the past year due to the COVID-19 crisis.
First, The Boyz released their single “Christmassy!” on the 7th of this month, on the 3rd anniversary of their debut. The pop-house winter song gives off Christmas vibes as it starts with a bell jingling.
The star of EBS, Pengsoo, also released “Christmas Returns” on the 11th of December. The song was joined by Reindeer (Yoon Sang), Brown bear (Kim Tae Woo), Fennec fox (Park Jin Joo), and lyricist Kim Eana, as Pengsoo organized a band of animals.
Pengsoo reveals that the song is to cheer people around the world for the past year’s hardships. The song has received a lot of love from fans and hence rose to the 6th of Genie Music’s live music chart.
Record label Antenna, led by Yoo Hee Yeol, is also releasing a group carol song for the first time. All label artists such as Toy, Jeong Seung Hwan, Sam Kim, Jeong Jae Hyung, Pepper Tones, Kwon Jin Ah, and Juk Jae are to join in the song “Our Christmas Wish For You,” which will be released on the 20th of December.
