KMDF was the first drive-in concert held in Korea and took place on Oct 31 and Nov 1. Hours before the concert, the photo-time event was opened offline only for reporters to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

And the main event, the concerts, was held with the cars parked in the restricted area and enough distance between the stage and the parking zone. Fans were only allowed to enjoy the concerts inside the parked cars.

In the case of reporters, they were placed behind the fans’ parking area. Although the distance was quite far to take “good” photos, the reporters accepted that the situation was inevitable due to the special nature of the pandemic.

However, the problem sparked in the second half of the concert. Countless fans got out of their cars and gathered in front of the stage, quickly getting out of control. At some point, the performance was halted because of these fans who chose not to follow the rules. Despite the staff’s efforts, the concert ended with a slew of “uncontrolled” fans.

The first drive-in concert in Korea was attempted with the COVID-19 pandemic, but some fans’ disorderly conduct surely has left disappointments.
