Sunmi, YooA, Chuu, Chungha and Hani have joined Mnet’s new entertainment show Running Girls.
For Running Girls, which will premiere on Dec 9, K-pop girl idols that represent the industry will become “running crew” and run in search of beautiful running courses in Korea surrounded by mountains and seas.
And for the “Running Crew,” who will put down their “idol” titles and build friendship through time sharing their own worries and comfort, Sunmi, Hani, Oh My Girl’s YooA, Chungha, and LOONA’s Chuu have been cast.
The videos released on Nov 24 and 25 show the five girls getting ready to run, shouting, “From today, we’re running crew!” Seeing them talk about why they decided to join the show, viewers are raising expectations for their “true” story as girls in their 20s, not as artists on stage.
Running Girls will premiere on Dec 9 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
